The taxiway edge flag is used instead of taxiway markers at airports without artificial surface. The flag is rectangular and comes in blue. The flag is mounted at a height of 0.7 m from the ground. The flag measures 0.5 x 0.3m. Flags shall be placed at a distance of no more than 3 m from the edge of the taxiway, at a uniform distance of no more than 50 m from each other, and on taxiway curves at a distance of no more than 20 m from each other.
