LIRA A 12-inch diameter unidirectional approach light, LIRA is used on the centreline, crossbars and row crossbars on the approach side for ICAO CAT I, II and III and military runways. With an LED life of over 100,000 hours in field conditions, its light output is variable like a traditional halogen lamp and in compliance with FAA directive. LIRA lights mean lower loads, smaller CCR and transformer size, and therefore low life cycle costs. This lightweight and durable light fixture has a strong built-in electronic component that is highly resistant to shock and vibration and can instantly detect and create an alert in the event of an internal fault.
